Helsinki & Zoom 19.-20.9.2020
AutWave, the annual event run by Autistic Spectrum Finland, is going online to reach broader audiences while keeping participants safe.
We will have a physical gathering with a maximum of 60 participants in Helsinki, and a simultaneous online event utilizing Zoom webinar and meeting platforms.
autvave@asy.fi
This year’s main theme at AutWave is peer support and peer-led activity. In its final year, our project Stability in Peer Support (Vakautta vertaistoimintaan) will present its results, with the help of the new project, Peer Support Online (Vertaistoiminta nettiin), created to help the autistic community to meet the challenges of the pandemic.
Most of the programme is in Finnish only. The full programme and other information is available on the event website in Finnish. Live captioning in English may be available for some parts of the programme, but this will depend on the availability of volunteers and resources.
For those who can follow presentations in English, we recommend participation on Sunday, 13.00-15.30 (Eastern European summer time, UTC+3).
Our volunteers and project workers will assist those who have problems with joining or navigating Zoom.
Online participation is free of charge.
Sunday, 20 September, times in Eastern European Summer Time.
